Syria – New project has just begun

The project called, “Promoting access to education in emergency contexts” has just started!

IVY Japan is partnering with a local NGO to enhance children’s resilience through creating a safe and protective educational environment.

We are going to implement school rehabilitations, distribution of stationaries for children, varieties of teacher training, and psychosocial support (PSS). Many students have lost a total of seven years of education and so to support out of school children to go back to the mainstream education system, we also implement a non-formal education program.

This project will benefit approximately 1,755 people, of which 61 percent are students, and the rest is composed of the people in the community.
