Interpretation and Translation for Medical/Legal/Administration

I want to understand the results of a health examination perfectly.
I would like to consult a lawyer, but I wonder if I can understand the legal terms.
I would like to switch my home country’s Driver’s License to a Japanese License.
I want to inquire at an administrative office, but I don't know which office to go to, etc.

Interpretation

We offer two distinct types of interpreter services: on-site interpreters who can be dispatched to your location, and telephone interpreters who assist remotely.

■Dispatched interpreters

Service fee

(1)Dispatch to medical, educational, and administrative institutions, when paid by an individual
Within 1 hour 1,000 yen
Thereafter, 500 yen will be added every 30 minutes.
(2)Dispatch upon request from a group or organization other than above (1)
Within 1 hour 2,500 yen
Thereafter, 1,250 yen will be added every 30 minutes.

  • Interpretation time includes waiting time.
  • In addition to the interpretation fee, transportation costs (see below) and an administration fee (20% of the interpretation fee) will be also charged.
  • If it takes more than one hour one way to reach the destination, a remote area allowance (700 yen per hour) will be charged.
  • For hours between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., the interpreter fee will be increased by 20% as a nighttime allowance.
Transportation costs When the interpreter's home and the place of dispatch are
A. In the same city ・・・ 1,000 yen
B. In adjacent cities, towns, or villages ・・・ 1,500 yen
C. Other than the above ・・・ 2,000 yen
( When using public transportation such as bus, JR, etc., the actual cost will be charged.)

Telephone Interprters

＊*Telephone interpretation services are available only for residents in Yamagata Prefecture.

Service fee

A First time in each month
Less than 15 minutes: Free of charge
More than 15 minutes but less than 30 minutes: 500 yen
More than 30 minutes, every 5 minutes: 200 yen

B Second time or later in the same month
Less than 15 minutes: 500 yen
More than 15 minutes but less than 30 minutes: 1,000 yen
More than 30 minutes, every 5 minutes: 350 yen

Please make your request by phone at least one day in advance.
Depending on the language, it may take time to arrange an interpreter. Please contact us as soon as possible.
If you wish to make further requests, please contact not only the interpreter but also the IVY office.

A4 size, per page (1,200 Japanese characters)
5,000 yen (including commission)
2. Request from a company/organization
A4 size, per page (1200 Japanese characters)
6,500 yen (including commission)

  • If the text you wish to have translated is less than half of a sheet of paper, please consult with us as we may be able to reduce the fee by half.
  • If you are in a hurry, an express fee will be charged.
  • Specialized translations will be charged at a higher rate.

send them back to you.

Tape Transcription

Service fee

1 When converting foreign language audio into Japanese
50,000-60,000 yen per 30 minutes (audio)

  • The fee is higher because two tasks are required: listening to the foreign language audio and transcribing it into text, and translating it into Japanese.
  • The fee will be adjusted within the above range depending on the level of expertise, content, etc.
  • It takes longer than normal translation.
  • Depending on the language, we may not be able to accept your request.
How to make a request Please send the following items (1) to (3) to the IVY Office by e-mail or mail.
(1) Audio data
(2) Client's information (name of corporation/organization, name of contact person, address, contact information)
(3) How to receive the completed translation manuscript
